The above Net Zero target are aligned with Thailand’s national climate commitments, ensuring consistency with the country’s transition pathway.

TISCO Group also acknowledges that effective climate action requires collaboration. Therefore, the Group actively engages with policymakers and trade associations to continuously strengthen its climate position. As a member of the Thai Bankers’ Association (TBA), we align our business practices with the Industry Handbook, ensuring that our environmental and climate efforts are consistent with industry standards.

Greenhouse Gas Management

Climate change has become an increasingly significant global challenge, including in Thailand. Government agencies and regulators across various sectors are developing laws and regulations to support national efforts to mitigate the impacts of climate change. TISCO Group places strong emphasis on reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and, beyond regulatory compliance, aims to meet stakeholder expectations by managing and transparently disclosing its emissions as part of its sustainability efforts.

Since 2017, TISCO Group has managed Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions for the TISCO Tower head office as an initial step. Since then, emissions from head office operations have decreased by 26 percent, with the building’s infrastructure reaching an optimal level of energy consumption. As of now, TISCO Group expanded its emissions management boundary beyond the Head Office to include branch operations, strengthening its ability to manage operational emissions and create a broader positive impact. The Group also validated its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions for 2025 to ensure complete data coverage and establish 2025 as the new baseline for future performance tracking and target setting.

Environmental Initiatives and Projects

TISCO Eco Society

TISCO Group emphasizes effective management of waste generated by our operations. In order to achieve standardized management and reduce environmental footprint while raising employee awareness, TISCO Eco Society initiative focuses on promoting three main behaviors:

  1. Carry reusable bags, such as canvas or fabric bags, instead of plastic bags to reduce waste generation.
  2. Sort recyclable waste and promote proper waste management.
  3. Separate and manage food waste in collaboration with building management, using it to make fish feed, in order to reduce landfill waste.

“We Use, We Sort” Campaign

TISCO Group promotes trash sorting among employees and provides different types of bins throughout the office building, creating value for recyclable waste by sending these materials to buyers for proper disposal or reuse.

Reforestation Projects

The company recognizes the crucial role natural resources play in human livelihoods, directly and indirectly contributing to economic and industrial development. Nevertheless, the increasing demand for natural resources presents significant challenges to human well-being and ecosystems, leading to issues such as climate change, loss of wildlife habitat, and biodiversity decline.

With a commitment to be a part of mitigating these impacts, the company has continuously organized reforestation projects, for instances;

TISCO’s Permanent Forest Planting Project

The TISCO Permanent Forest Planting Project, located in the area of Wat Wang Wiwekaram in Sangkhla Buri District, Kanchanaburi Province, has been a collaborative effort between TISCO Group and the local community for 35 years since its inception in 1991. This project encompasses 10 land plots covering a total area over 265,600 square meters, featuring a variety of trees including teak, ironwood, and other local species. Currently, the planted forest area has many large trees, with 60% of the trees having trunk circumferences ranging from 51 to 100 cm. Additionally, trees with heights averaging 10 to 20 meters are prevalent, with the tallest tree reaching 30 to 40 meters in height and having a trunk circumference of 201 to 300 cm. Moreover, TISCO Group is actively collaborating with the community to plant more redwood trees, which will be utilized for future repairs of the Mon Bridge.

Furthermore, the company has organized reforestation activities in various locations throughout the year, with the concept of “Forests Survive, People Can Thrive.” These initiatives aim to facilitate learning and raise awareness of forest conservation, increase local community green areas, and support the goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions.
